Post 22: Short Film Marketing


There are many different opportunities for a short film to become marketed in become successful. Films rely on marketing as an opportunity of gaining an audience and group of followers to a film. Without successful marketing audiences know little about a film. Hollywood films are the most successful films due to marketing, they are able to spend lots of money on a film being marketed. Therefore audiences become aware of this through streaming and a fan base is started. 

Films can be marketed through: 

Cast and Crew screenings or Film Premiers. 

Preparing a press hearing: By doing this audiences will become aware of the film, and questions can be asked and answered which develops a greater understanding of the film and may encourage audiences to come and watch the film. 

Festivals: submitting and applying for the short film to be shown at A-List Festivals. 

Having an agent to distribute the film.
